I can't see any “groups,” public “chats,” and/ or “leaderboards

Do not worry, we will have you in a group soon.
We will be sending out a survey of those who want to be in these groups.
This will help with people who want privacy and do not wish to be in the community groups or have their results shared. Yet give those access to those who do.
