All GORUCK gear and apparel is covered by our Scars Lifetime Guarantee. If you manage to wear out or damage gear through use, we will repair or replace it at our discretion. Proof of purchase is not required — our products are identifiable — and there are no time limitations. Hence lifetime. Our footwear is built to the same tough standards and supported with the same level of care. If something goes wrong, we’ll work with you to make it right — just reach out.
We build premium products and with that comes premium service. It’s a high-touch process, a conversation about your gear and how you use it, and we like it that way.
Scars Guarantee: Repairs
We stand behind our gear. The Scars Guarantee covers repairs for wear and tear resulting from normal use. If an item can’t be repaired, we’ll work with you directly to determine the best available option.

What’s not covered?
The following types of damage are not eligible for complimentary work, however we will work with you on best available options. The following circumstances may incur a fee:
- Excessive abuse or severe damage
- Animal damage
- Knife, bullet, or firearm damage
- Burns or melting caused by fire or excessive heat

Washer or dryer damage
- Rucks should never be cleaned in a washer or dryer
- Sternum Straps and Hip Belts after one year of purchase
*Any second hand gear that has an "X" marked through the ID patch is a retired item and not eligible for repair. These items have already been through the Scars department and replaced.
Scars Guarantee: Defects
SCARS covers any defects for GORUCK-Built Gear, Apparel and Footwear. Defects are a deviation from our quality assurance standards that we have on all products we build. These will usually be evident within the first few days of receiving the item and/or through use.

Footwear
Footwear is covered for manufacturing defects only. Due to the nature of footwear and how it wears over time, repairs or replacements for normal wear and tear are not offered.
'Lifetime' denotes the expected functional life of the original product. Each pair of footwear qualifies for a single warranty replacement if an issue occurs within the first year if purchase.
