Regularly cleaning your gear helps extend its life and keeps it ready for whatever’s next. The good news: it’s simple and only takes two things—water and soap.
Rinse your rucksack with fresh water and soap, then flip it inside out (pro tip) and rinse again. Hang it up and let it air dry.
Do not use a washing machine or dryer. Any damage caused by a washer or dryer will void the SCARS Guarantee. Your ruck can handle years of hard use in tough environments, but the concentrated heat from dryers can warp the lamination in the back panel and shoulder straps.
